Heavy-duty rotary air polisher runs at 2,800 RPM with a 1 hp motor, accepts 8-inch hook-and-loop pads, and connects via 3/8-inch NPT inlet at 90 psi
The Dynabrade RB2 is a pneumatic rotary polisher built for heavy-duty surface preparation. Its fixed-speed motor delivers consistent cutting action on metal, composite or painted panels. The right-angle grip with side handle gives operators controlled leverage during extended polishing sessions. Shops that need repeatable results on large flat areas will find the tool matches the workflow.
The motor draws 42 cfm at 90 psi while spinning at a fixed 2,800 rpm. Rear exhaust directs spent air away from the work surface and the operator’s hands. Because speed cannot be adjusted, the tool maintains a steady thermal profile without sudden load changes. A minimum 3/8 in supply hose keeps pressure drop low so the polisher sustains its rated horsepower throughout the job.
The 3/8 in NPT inlet threads directly into standard shop couplers using the specified hose size. An M14x2 spindle accepts the included 8 in hook-and-loop backing pad, which is also the minimum and maximum disc diameter. The 12 1/2 in overall length fits alongside other right-angle tools on a balanced manifold. Buyers who need variable speed or smaller pad diameters should select a different model.

Fit a 3/8 in NPT fitting to the inlet and run at least a 3/8 in ID hose; smaller bore starves the motor of the 42 cfm it needs at 90 psi.
The hook-and-loop backing pad for 8 in discs and the spindle bearing take the brunt; expect to swap the pad when the hooks no longer grip and the bearing if run-out appears.
Sustained operation at 2,800 RPM with 42 cfm demand will overheat the aluminium housing first; pause for cooling when the rear exhaust air feels excessively hot.
