15 inch SXGA+ replacement panel

This 15 inch TFT LCD screen replaces a damaged panel in an ACER TRAVELMATE 290 notebook. It delivers a 1400 by 1050 pixel resolution with a matte anti-glare finish. The 30 pin data connector matches the original laptop cable. Buyers who need a touchscreen or a different resolution cannot use this part.

Upgrade from cracked or dim display

The panel swaps directly for part numbers such as B150PG01 V0, LTN150P4-L01 and LP150E07-A3K1. The jump is worth it when the existing screen shows lines, dead pixels or a failing CCFL backlight. Installation requires only basic tools and the original 30 pin connector. Laptops with a 14 pin, 20 pin or 40 pin interface are not compatible.

Steady output under continuous use

Grade A+ testing confirms uniform brightness across the 15.0 inch active area during extended sessions. The single CCFL backlight maintains stable illumination without the flicker seen in aged panels. Matte surface reduces glare during long work periods. Screens with a glossy finish or a different backlight type may behave differently.

Questions about this item

What screen size, resolution and connector does the 15.0 inch panel need to match the Acer TravelMate 290?

The panel is a 15.0 inch SXGA+ TFT LCD with 1400 x 1050 resolution and a 30 pin data connector.

How is the replacement screen installed, and which step is most often missed?

Remove the bezel, disconnect the old 30 pin cable, fit the new panel, reconnect the cable securely, then test before refitting the bezel — the step most often missed is verifying the connector orientation and full insertion.

What maintenance will the CCFL backlight need over time?

The single CCFL backlight will gradually dim; expect to replace the inverter or the entire panel when brightness drops below usable levels.
