17-inch WXGA+ 30-pin replacement panel

This 17-inch WXGA+ LCD panel replaces the display in a Toshiba Equium L350D-11D and other models that use a 1440 by 900 resolution with a 30-pin connector. It arrives new and tested before shipping with a two-year warranty. The finish will be matte or glossy depending on stock, so buyers must verify which surface their original screen uses.

Single-CCFL backlight behaviour

The screen uses a single cold-cathode fluorescent lamp driven by an inverter cable rather than an LED backlight. Brightness and colour stability will follow the characteristics of CCFL technology, including a warm-up period and gradual dimming over extended use. No LED-specific performance claims apply to this unit.

Installation checklist and common mismatch

Fitment requires matching the 17-inch size, 1440 by 900 resolution, 30-pin data connector and single-CCFL backlight type exactly. The connector position on the panel must also align with the laptop’s cable routing. Orders fail when buyers confuse 30-pin with 14, 20, 40, 50 or 60-pin variants or overlook the CCFL versus LED distinction.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 17-inch CCFL backlight generate during all-day use?

A single CCFL lamp runs warmer than LED panels, so the inverter area will feel noticeably warm after several hours of continuous operation.

What laptop parts must already be present for this 30-pin screen to install?

You need a working 30-pin video cable, a matching CCFL inverter, and hinge brackets that accept a 17-inch panel with the same mounting tabs.

Will the 1440×900 resolution drive correctly from an older integrated graphics chipset?

Yes, WXGA+ at 1440×900 is a standard non-HD resolution that virtually any graphics controller from the same era supports without extra drivers.
