Compatible Sony laptop models

This 19.5V 3.96A 75W AC adapter replaces the original charger for Sony VGN-N11S/W, VGN-N120, VGN-N120G and VGN-N120G/W laptops. It supplies the exact voltage and current those machines require. The unit is new and includes a power cord suited to your region.

Input voltage and connector limits

The adapter accepts AC input from 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide. The DC output is fixed at 19.5V and 3.96A, delivering up to 75W. The barrel connector measures 6.5mm by 4.4mm; laptops with a different plug size cannot use this unit.

Installation and common issues

Plug the supplied cord into the adapter, connect the barrel tip to the laptop, then attach the mains plug. The only frequent problem is a loose or worn DC jack on the laptop side, which causes intermittent charging. Verify the connector dimensions match before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm this 19.5V 3.96A 75W adapter matches my Sony VGN-N11S/W, VGN-N120, VGN-N120G or VGN-N120G/W laptop?

Check that your original charger shows 19.5V and 3.96A (or 75W) on its label and that the barrel plug measures 6.5mm outer by 4.4mm inner; this unit includes a region-specific power cord.

What does the 75W rating mean when the adapter is powering my laptop?

It is the maximum continuous DC output the brick can deliver (19.5V × 3.96A); your laptop will draw only the watts it needs up to that limit.

The barrel connector is listed as 6.5mm × 4.4mm — what does that cap in practice?

It fits Sony models that use a 6.5mm outer / 4.4mm inner barrel jack; the adapter accepts 100–240V AC at 50–60Hz so it works worldwide with the included cord.
