65W AC adapter for select HP laptops

This 65-watt power supply delivers 18.5 volts at 3.5 amps and includes the AC power cord. It is built for owners of compatible HP laptops who need a replacement or spare charger. The barrel connector has a 1.7 mm inner diameter and a 4.8 mm outer diameter. The unit accepts mains input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz.

Capacity and headroom

At 65 watts this adapter powers the listed HP models and charges their batteries under normal workloads. It cannot supply more than its rated output, so systems that draw higher peak power will exceed its headroom. The fixed 18.5-volt output suits only laptops designed for that voltage. It is not suitable for devices that require a different connector size or a higher wattage rating.
