Questions about this item

How do I connect the 1.7 mm by 4.8 mm barrel plug to my HP Dv2122, and what is the step people often get wrong?

Align the centre pin of the 1.7 mm internal diameter connector with the laptop socket and push straight in until it clicks; the common mistake is angling the plug, which bends the pin and prevents charging.

Will the AC power cord supplied with this 65 W adapter need replacing, and how can I tell?

The included cord is rated for 100–240 V 50–60 Hz mains; replace it only if the insulation cracks, the plug pins loosen, or the cord becomes warm during normal use.
