Questions about this item

How do I connect this adapter to my HP Dv2108tu and which step is often missed?

Plug the AC cord into a 100 to 240V 50 to 60Hz outlet, then insert the DC barrel into the laptop; the step often missed is confirming the connector has a 1.7 mm internal and 4.8 mm external diameter before forcing it in.

What part will need replacement first on this 65W unit?

The detachable AC power cord typically wears out before the sealed 18.5V 3.5A brick, so keep a spare IEC C7 lead handy for later.
