65W AC adapter for HP DV2120 and DV2121

This 65 watt AC adapter delivers 18.5 volts at 3.5 amps to compatible HP notebooks including the DV2120 and DV2121 series. It accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz. The package includes the AC power cord for immediate use.

Straightforward barrel connection

Installation is a simple plug into the laptop's DC jack which requires a 1.7 millimetre inner and 4.8 millimetre outer diameter connector. The main issue is connector mismatch; the adapter will not fit models that use a different barrel size or a centre-pin design. Buyers who need a higher wattage unit or a USB-C power source cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the adapter is delivering the correct 18.5V 3.5A output after connecting it to my HP DV2120?

The laptop should power on and charge the battery normally; the adapter's LED indicator (if present) will show a steady light when the DC output of 18.5V 3.5A is active.

Does the package include the AC power cord or must I purchase a separate mains lead for the 100-240V input?

The AC power cord is included in the box, so the adapter is ready to use with a standard wall outlet straight away.
