Questions about this item

Does the adapter stay cool and quiet when it runs at 65 W all day?

The unit is a sealed 65 W brick with no fan; it warms under full load but stays within normal operating temperature for a 18.5 V 3.5 A supply.

Do I need to buy a separate mains lead or does the 4.8 mm barrel plug work straight away?

An AC power cord is included so the adapter connects to a 100–240 V wall socket and the 4.8 mm barrel fits the HP Dv5054ea, Dv5055ea and Dv5056ea directly.
