Questions about this item

How do I install this AC adapter and what is the common mistake with the connector size?

Plug the DC connector into the laptop power port and the AC cord into a 100-240V 50-60Hz outlet. The common mistake is forcing a plug with a different internal or external diameter; this unit has a 1.7mm internal and 4.8mm external diameter.

What maintenance or replacement will this 65W 18.5V 3.5A adapter need over time?

The AC power cord and DC cable can wear at the strain reliefs or connector tips. Inspect them periodically for fraying or loose fits. Replace the entire adapter if output voltage drops below 18.5V or if the brick becomes excessively hot during normal 65W load.
