Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 54 V 5.18 A adapter produce when running all day?

The brick is passively cooled with no fan, so it makes no audible noise; warmth is normal at full 280 W load but stays within safe limits.

What must I already own for this 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm tip adapter to work?

A laptop that accepts 54 V 5.18 A through a 5.5 mm outer / 2.1 mm inner barrel jack and matches the Delta ADP-280BR B 740-066489 part number.

Will this replacement adapter work alongside the original Delta unit I keep as a spare?

Yes — it is 100 % OEM compatible to the same 54 V 5.18 A spec, so either brick can power the laptop interchangeably.
