20 Gallon Open Head Drum

The EAGLE 1623 is a 20 gallon transport drum made from polyethylene with a 4.57 mm body thickness. Its open head design and lever lock ring closure allow quick filling and secure sealing for liquids or solids. The yellow HDPE body and white cover provide high visibility in yard or industrial settings.

Unlined Interior and UN Rating

The drum ships unlined with no interior coating and zero bung holes, so users can add their own fittings or liners as needed. It carries UN ratings 1H2/X75/S and 1H2/Y100/S for liquid transport, making it suitable for regulated materials. The plastic closing ring resists corrosion during repeated opening and closing.

Stackable Polyethylene Construction

The 15 3/4 inch top diameter and 30 1/2 inch overall height create a stable footprint for stacking during storage or transport. Polyethylene construction handles normal temperature ranges without becoming brittle. The drum weighs little enough for manual handling when empty, yet the thick wall resists impact during daily yard use.

Questions about this item

What is the body wall thickness of the 1623 drum?

The polyethylene body is 4.57 mm thick, giving the drum structural rigidity for repeated transport use.

How hot does the drum surface get if left in direct sun all day?

The yellow HDPE body and white HDPE cover reflect most solar radiation, so the surface stays close to ambient temperature even after hours of exposure.

Does the 1623 drum ship with a lever-lock ring installed or must I supply one?

The drum includes a plastic lever-lock ring as part of the closure system, so no separate ring is required.
