Professional Laser Distance Measure
The EAGLINE EGL165 is a compact laser distance measure designed for construction professionals and DIY enthusiasts who require fast, precise readings on site. It fits in a pocket and delivers measurements up to 165 feet with 1/16 inch accuracy for layout, estimation and verification tasks.
Range and Display Constraints
The 165 foot maximum range limits use to interior spaces and short exterior spans, while the high-contrast black-background display ensures readability in bright or dim conditions. Measurements can be shown in feet-inch fractions to 1/32, decimal inches to 1/32, 1/16 or 1/8, but the device offers no wireless data transfer or integration with digital planning software.
Build Quality and Mounting
A tough rubber overmould protects the housing against drops and provides a secure grip during one-handed operation. A built-in 1/4 inch camera tripod thread allows stable mounting for long-distance or height measurements, and the internal memory recalls the last 20 readings for quick reference. The timer function assists when targeting hard-to-reach points alone.

Questions about this item
Which measurement display format should I pick — feet-inch to 1/32, inches to 1/32, 1/16 or 1/8?
Choose the fraction that matches how you record cuts or layouts; the EGL165 lets you switch between feet-inch 1/32, inches 1/32, 1/16 and 1/8 on the fly.
What does the 165-foot range actually deliver on a job site?
It lets you span a full 165 ft with 1/16 in accuracy, so long runs across rooms or outdoor plots stay precise without a tape sagging.
How does the 1/4 in tripod thread change the way I use the laser?
The built-in 1/4 in thread locks the unit to any standard camera tripod, giving rock-steady aim for those 165 ft shots and hands-free area or volume calculations.
