Eaton 20 A 250 V pin-and-sleeve plug

This Eaton straight-blade connector is rated 20 A at 250 V with a two-pole, three-wire grounding configuration. The blue nylon housing carries IP67 and IP69K ratings for wash-down environments. It accepts conductors from 12 AWG to 10 AWG and suits industrial or mobile equipment power feeds.

Nickel-plated brass contacts and back-wire terminals

Nickel-plated brass contacts resist corrosion in wet or chemical exposure. Back-wire terminals speed termination without screw torque. The cord-grip range spans 0.333 to 0.775 in, so a single device covers multiple cable diameters. Supplied as a case of four for crew kits or spares.

IP69K sealing and rugged nylon shell

The IP69K rating means the plug survives high-pressure, high-temperature wash-downs common in food processing and heavy equipment. Nylon housing withstands impact and UV exposure. Grounding pin orientation prevents mis-mating with non-grounded inlets.

Questions about this item

How often will the nickel-plated brass contacts need inspection or replacement under heavy use?

Nickel-plated brass resists corrosion; inspect contacts during scheduled maintenance and replace if pitting or overheating appears.

What thermal limit appears first when the plug carries 20 A continuously?

The nylon housing and 250 V rating set the practical ceiling; sustained 20 A load will raise contact temperature before the IP69K seal degrades.

Does the IP69K rating change the plug’s heat dissipation or power loss during all-day operation?

IP69K seals against high-pressure washdown but does not alter resistive loss; expect normal I²R heating at 20 A with the #12–#10 AWG conductors.
