Industrial Motor Starter

The Eaton CN15BN3AB is a NEMA Size 0 magnetic contactor built for panel mounting in industrial control circuits. It switches three-phase motor loads up to 18 A inductive current with a 120 V AC coil. The unit suits automation panels that need reliable, non-reversing motor starting.

18 A Three-Pole Capacity

Rated at 18 A full-load inductive current, the contactor handles 3 hp at 240 V AC and 5 hp at 480 V AC three-phase. One normally open auxiliary contact provides status feedback or interlocking. The Freedom series frame B design uses screw terminals for secure power and control wiring.

120 V AC Coil Interface

The 110/120 V AC coil operates directly from common control-voltage supplies without extra transformers. Panel mounting and a compact 3.88 in height by 1.75 in width footprint fit standard enclosures. The open-frame construction requires a suitable enclosure for environmental protection.

Questions about this item

Will the 120 V AC coil on this CN15BN3AB work with my existing 110 V control circuit?

Yes, the coil is rated for both 110 V and 120 V AC, so it will operate reliably on your current 110 V control supply.

How can I verify the contactor is switching correctly after panel installation?

Apply coil voltage and listen for a firm mechanical click; then measure continuity across each of the three power poles to confirm all contacts close cleanly.

Does the CN15BN3AB include the auxiliary contact or must I order it separately?

One normally-open auxiliary contact is built in; no separate accessory is required for that function.
