Ultrawide Monitor Arm for 49 Inch Screens

The Ergotron HX single monitor arm supports ultrawide displays up to 49 inches and 28 to 42 pounds. It fits VESA 75x75mm and 100x100mm patterns. Designed for heavy curved panels like the Samsung Odyssey G9, it replaces bulky stock bases to reclaim desk space for gamers and office professionals.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

As a passive mechanical mount, the arm generates no heat, emits no noise and draws no electrical power. Operation is silent during 360 degrees of rotation and 20 degrees of tilt. The gas-spring lift mechanism moves the screen 11.5 inches vertically, reaching 17.8 inches above the worksurface without motors or fans.

Weight Capacity 28 to 42 Pounds

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 28 to 42 pound load range. Monitors lighter than 28 pounds will not stay in position; monitors heavier than 42 pounds exceed the arm's rating. Buyers with screens outside this weight window must choose a different mount.

Questions about this item

How do I install the two-piece desk clamp on a surface edge and what step is often missed?

The clamp fits edges from .4 to 2.6 inches thick and requires no tools; the step often missed is tightening both clamp pieces evenly so the arm stays level.

What maintenance will the HD pivot and gas spring need over time?

The HD pivot and internal gas spring are sealed units with no user-serviceable parts; occasional dusting of the pivot joint is all that is required.

At what point does the 20-degree tilt limit stop the screen from moving further?

The arm provides up to 20 degrees of tilt; once that angle is reached the mechanism physically stops, preventing further forward or backward movement.
