A 10 A single-pole supplementary protector rated 277/480 V AC with a 15 kA interrupting capacity and thermal-magnetic trip
This Eaton FAZ-B10/1-SP is a single-pole supplementary protector rated at 10 A and 277/480 V AC. It mounts on a standard DIN rail and uses a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with a B-curve characteristic. The device is UL 1077 recognised and intended for equipment-level circuit protection in industrial control panels.
Under continuous operation the thermal element responds to prolonged overcurrents while the magnetic element reacts to short-circuit faults. The unit carries a maximum AIR of 15 kA at 240/415 V AC, providing reliable interruption during sustained fault conditions. A 48 V DC rating extends its use to low-voltage DC control circuits.
Verify that the panel uses DIN-rail mounting and that the available fault current does not exceed 15 kA at the applied voltage. Confirm the system voltage matches the 277/480 V AC or 48 V DC ratings and that a single-pole B-curve device suits the load profile. Lug terminals accept standard wire connections for the rated current.

The thermal-magnetic trip mechanism operates silently and generates only normal warm-up at the 10 A rated current; no fan or active cooling is involved.
A DIN-rail mounting slot and wiring suitable for lug terminals at 277/480 V AC are needed; the breaker fits standard DIN rail profiles.
The 15 kA AIR rating at 240/415 V AC matches many legacy panels, and the B-curve trip characteristic provides familiar coordination with existing downstream devices.
