Industrial Signal Tower

The Eaton SL4 tower light provides a red flashing LED signal at 120 flashes per minute for 120V AC systems. Its 40mm diameter polycarbonate housing meets NEMA 4, 4X and 13 ratings for indoor and outdoor industrial use. Certified to UL 508 and CSA standards with a CULus listing, it suits control panels, machinery status indication and process alarms where a compact visual alert is required.

Environmental and Electrical Limits

The unit operates from -22 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and carries an IEC rating alongside CE marking. Fresnel polycarbonate lens design directs light output while the housing resists corrosion and water ingress per NEMA 4X. Lamp life is rated at 100,000 hours, reducing maintenance intervals in continuous-duty applications. No battery backup or wireless interface is included.

Upgrade Considerations

This module replaces legacy incandescent or halogen tower lights that require frequent bulb changes and draw higher current. The jump is worth it when a facility needs longer service life, lower power consumption and consistent flash rate without mechanical wear. Buyers who need multiple colours, audible alarms or programmable flash patterns from a single stack should evaluate larger SL series assemblies instead.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 120V AC version or a different voltage for my panel?

This module runs on 120V AC only; choose it when your control circuit supplies 120V AC.

What does 120 flashes per minute look like on the shop floor?

The LED flashes twice every second, giving a clear visual alert without being distracting.

Which standards does the NEMA 4X rating actually cover?

NEMA 4X means the polycarbonate housing resists corrosion, windblown dust, rain and hose-directed water.
