A 32 A three-pole selector switch protects motors up to 30 hp at 600 V AC
The Eaton XTPE032BCS is a three-phase manual motor protector rated for 32 A and 600 V AC. It uses a selector switch operator and belongs to the XTPE series. The device suits industrial control panels that need motor-circuit protection and manual disconnect in a single unit.
The protector carries a maximum overload relay setting of 32 A. Single-phase horsepower ratings are 2 hp at 120 V AC and 5 hp at 240 V AC. Three-phase ratings reach 10 hp at 208 V AC, 10 hp at 240 V AC, 15 hp at 480 V AC and 30 hp at 600 V AC.
Under continuous operation the unit maintains its calibrated overload threshold without nuisance tripping. The selector switch provides clear on/off status for maintenance lockout. It is not intended for applications requiring automatic remote reset or electronic trip-unit communication.

Mount the protector on a DIN rail or panel, then connect three-phase supply to the line terminals and motor leads to the load terminals; the common error is reversing line and load sides, which disables overload protection.
Periodically check the selector switch for smooth operation and inspect terminals for overheating; if the 32 A thermal element trips repeatedly or the switch mechanism wears, replace the complete unit.
The 32 A maximum overload relay setting is the first limit; sustained current above this value causes the thermal trip to open the circuit.
