Emergency beacon for vehicle mounting

The ECCO 7970A is a round amber flashing beacon that uses LED technology to produce a SAE J845 Class 1 warning signal. It operates on a 12-24V DC supply and draws 46 W. The unit is designed for permanent installation with blunt-cut wire connections and carries a universal vehicle fitment. Four heads are arranged within the 6 1/2 in diameter by 6 11/16 in height housing.

Suits fleets needing a single amber beacon

This beacon suits operators who need one permanently mounted amber warning light with a flashing pattern and Class 1 output. Buyers who require a different light colour, a rotating or strobe pattern, a magnetic or vacuum mount, or multiple beacons in a single bar should look at other products.

Sustained output at rated voltage

Under continuous operation the LED array maintains the rated flashing pattern and Class 1 intensity across the 12-24V DC range. The 46 W draw remains stable and the sealed construction resists vibration and weather during long duty cycles.

Questions about this item

Does the ECCO 7970A require a specific mounting bracket or hardware kit that I must already have?

The beacon installs permanently with its own base; no separate bracket is mentioned in the specifications.

Will the 12-24V DC input work with the 12V electrical system in my older truck?

Yes, the operating range covers both 12V and 24V DC systems, so it is compatible with standard 12V vehicle wiring.

How can I verify the SAE J845 Class 1 rating is met once the light is wired up?

The amber LEDs should flash at the rated 46 W output; a steady, bright flash pattern visible in daylight confirms correct operation.
