Compact 87-Key Layout

The Dareu EK819 is a wired mechanical gaming keyboard with an 87-key tenkeyless layout that removes the numeric keypad found on standard 104-key models. This reduction saves desktop space and makes the board lighter to carry. It targets gamers and typists who prefer a smaller footprint without losing the core alphanumeric and function keys.

Blue Switch Response Under Load

Blue mechanical switches provide tactile feedback and an audible click on every press, rated for 50 million keystroke life cycles. The switch characteristics remain consistent during extended gaming or typing sessions because the mechanism does not rely on rubber domes that can soften over time. Full key rollover on the 87 keys ensures simultaneous inputs register accurately.

Aluminium Top Cover and Double-Shot Keycaps

A single-piece aluminium alloy top panel undergoes stamping, blasting, oxidation and printing processes, then passes neutral salt-spray, 100-grid cross-hatch and constant-humidity tests to resist rust, peeling, sweat and corrosion. Double-colour injection keycaps prevent legend wear. The borderless, suspended-key design simplifies cleaning between switches.

Questions about this item

How loud are the blue switches on the Dareu EK819 during long typing sessions?

Blue switches produce an audible click with each keystroke, so the keyboard will be noticeably louder than linear or tactile silent switches when used continuously.

Does the EK819 need any extra software or drivers to function on Windows?

It works over a standard USB wired connection with no additional drivers required for basic typing and gaming use.

Will the tenkeyless 87-key layout fit beside a full-size 104-key keyboard on the same desk?

At 354 mm wide the EK819 is significantly narrower than a 104-key board, leaving ample room for both keyboards side by side.
