Edifier BIG BUN portable speaker

The Edifier BIG BUN is a compact wireless speaker with a 20W total output delivered through two full-range drivers. It runs from a built-in lithium battery rated for 12 hours of playback and connects via Bluetooth, USB audio or microSD card. The plastic cabinet measures 145 by 69 by 71 mm and carries CE certification.

Suits listeners wanting cable-free audio

Buyers who need aptX codec support, a signal-to-noise ratio of 80 dB and total harmonic distortion of .5% will find the spec sheet matches those requirements. Anyone requiring a display, voice control, active noise cancellation or remote operation should look elsewhere because the unit has none of those features.

20W output from dual drivers decides the fit

The 2.0 channel system produces 5W+5W distortion-limited power across a 150Hz-20KHz frequency range with an input sensitivity of 650±50mFFS. If that output level and bandwidth cover the intended listening space, the speaker is the right part; if more volume or lower bass extension is essential, it is not.

Questions about this item

What size surface does the 145*69*71 mm cabinet need to sit on securely?

The speaker measures 145 mm wide by 69 mm deep by 71 mm high, so any flat surface at least that large will hold it without overhang.

How do I pair the speaker via Bluetooth, and what step do people often miss?

Press the button to enter pairing mode, then select the speaker from your device's Bluetooth list; the step often missed is confirming the connection on both sides before playing audio.

When will the built-in lithium battery need replacement, and what charging input does it use?

After many charge cycles the internal battery will hold less than the rated 12 hours; recharge it through the USB port using a standard 5 V supply.
