Edifier G33 USB Gaming Headset

The Edifier G33 is a USB gaming headset with 7.1 surround sound and 40mm drivers. It targets PC, PS5, PS4, Mac and laptop gamers who want virtual surround audio and RGB lighting. The headset weighs 9.17 ounces and uses a detachable noise-cancelling microphone. It is not suited for Xbox consoles or buyers who need wireless connectivity.

Check USB port and software needs

Your system must provide a free USB-A port for the 2.5 metre cable. The Xera2.0 software that enables per-channel 7.1 customisation runs on Windows; Mac, PS4 and PS5 users receive stereo audio without the surround processing. Verify that your operating system supports standard USB audio class devices before ordering.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive over-ear cups with leatherette pads and memory foam dissipate body heat without active cooling, so the headset runs silently. The USB connection draws power directly from the host, adding negligible load to a PC or console supply. The omni-directional microphone picks up ambient sound when not muted, but the detachable boom can be removed to eliminate any residual noise.
