What the headset is and who it targets

The Edifier GX is a wired gaming headset built around 50 mm titanium diaphragm drivers with certified Hi-Res audio. It connects through USB, Type-C or a 3.5 mm jack so it works with PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox gamepads, phones and tablets. The red finish and eight-colour breathing RGB on the earcups give it a distinct gaming look. Protein leather ear cushions are designed for all-day comfort during long sessions.

Capacity and headroom: what it handles

The 50 mm drivers deliver detailed high-resolution sound that lets you pinpoint footsteps and directional cues in competitive titles. A built-in ENC dual-microphone system cancels background noise for clear voice chat. Because the headset is purely wired it has no battery to manage and no wireless latency, but it also means you are tethered to the device and cannot roam freely. There is no onboard EQ software or surround virtualization mentioned, so audio tuning relies on the host platform.

The spec that decides fit

The single deciding factor is the triple-interface cable: USB, Type-C and 3.5 mm combined. If your setup only offers one of those connections the headset will still work, but if you need a purely wireless solution or a separate detachable microphone this is not the right choice.

Questions about this item

Will the 50 mm drivers work well with my older PS4 controller?

The headset includes a 3.5 mm jack that plugs directly into the PS4 controller, so the 50 mm drivers receive the same analogue signal they would on any newer pad.

How can I confirm the RGB lighting is functioning after I plug the headset in?

When the USB or Type‑C connector is powered, the eight colour‑changing breathing lights on the earcups should cycle automatically, showing the effect is active.

Does the box include a USB‑C to USB‑A adapter for PCs with only rectangular ports?

The package supplies the headset with its attached USB, Type‑C and 3.5 mm cables; any additional adapter for legacy USB‑A ports would need to be purchased separately.
