Edifier H840 studio monitoring headphones

The Edifier H840 is a closed-back over-ear stereo headphone built for accurate monitoring. Forty-millimetre drivers tuned by Phil Jones of Pure Sound deliver a rich, balanced response with prominent bass. The around-ear leather earmuffs and steel-reinforced headband provide all-day comfort for studio sessions or critical listening. A gold-plated 3.5 mm plug ensures a reliable analogue connection.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that your audio source provides a standard 3.5 mm stereo output jack. The headphones are passive and require no batteries or external power, so any device with a matching socket will drive them. Confirm the cable length suits your workspace, as the fixed lead cannot be replaced or extended without an adapter. No software drivers or proprietary connectors are involved.

Bundled value and limitations

The package includes only the headphones with their permanently attached cable and gold-plated plug. There is no detachable cable, carry case, spare earpads or quarter-inch adapter supplied. The one-year manufacturer warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not add accessories. Buyers needing a longer lead, balanced connection or replacement pads must source those separately.
