Pink cat-ear gaming headset

The Edifier HECATE G2 II Pink is a wired USB headset built for gamers who want a distinctive look with 16.8 million colour RGB lighting on the earcups and detachable cat-ear accents. It uses custom-tuned 50 mm drivers and virtual 7.1 surround sound to deliver spatial audio for PC, PS4 and PS5. The adjustable boom microphone can be removed when not needed. At 9.38 ounces the frame stays light during long sessions.

Upgrade from basic stereo headsets

Moving up from a simple two-channel headset adds virtual 7.1 surround cues that help locate footsteps and directional effects in competitive titles. The 50 mm drivers supply deeper bass and a wider soundscape than smaller drivers found on entry models. RGB lighting and the detachable cat ears give a visual identity that standard headsets lack. The jump is worth it when you want both the audio positioning and the kawaii aesthetic in one package.

Check USB port and software needs

Verify your system has a free USB-A port for the wired connection and that your operating system supports the virtual 7.1 surround processing. The headset is designed for PC, PS4 and PS5; other platforms may only deliver stereo output. Ensure the detachable microphone and cat-ear attachments fit your preferred wearing style before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 50 mm driver headset need any special USB port on PC or console?

It connects through a standard USB-A connector and works on PC, PS4 and PS5 without extra drivers or a specific port type.

How do the detachable cat ears attach, and what mistake should I avoid?

The cat ears clip onto the earcups; the common error is forcing them on upside-down, which can snap the small plastic tabs.

How do I keep the RGB lighting and ear cushions in good shape over time?

Wipe the earcups with a dry cloth, avoid liquids near the RGB zones, and replace the leather pads when they lose their seal or comfort.
