What the G30S is and who it fits

The Edifier HECATE G30S is a wireless gaming headset built for players who want dual-mode connectivity without cables. It uses 2.4 GHz transmission for PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch, plus Bluetooth 5.3 for phones and tablets. The 40 mm drivers deliver game-focused sound in a black finish. It suits gamers who switch between desktop and console and also take calls on mobile.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that your device offers a free USB-A port for the 2.4 GHz dongle or supports Bluetooth 5.3 for the alternative link. The wireless range reaches about 10 metres, so keep the receiver within that distance. Console users should confirm the system recognises USB audio devices. No software install is required for basic stereo output on the listed platforms.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The headset runs cool against the ears during long sessions because it has no active cooling or heavy components. Passive ear cups block outside sound without fan noise. Battery life reaches roughly 30 hours on a single charge, and the microphone mutes automatically when flipped up. Charging uses a standard USB cable so there is no proprietary brick to carry.
