Supreme Audio Drivers

The Edifier HECATE GX is a wired gaming headset built around 50mm titanium diaphragm drivers with certified Hi-Res audio. It connects via USB, Type-C or a 3.5 mm jack and includes a microphone with ENC noise-cancellation. RGB lighting on the earcups adds visual flair while protein leather cushions aim to keep you comfortable during long sessions.

Who This Suits

Gamers who want one headset that works across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox gamepads, laptops, tablets and smartphones will appreciate the multi-platform compatibility. Buyers who need wireless freedom or Bluetooth connectivity should look elsewhere because this model is strictly wired. The single 3.5 mm connection for Xbox controllers also means it cannot use USB audio features on that platform.

Capacity and Headroom

The 50mm drivers deliver the resolution needed for competitive positional audio and immersive single-player soundtracks. ENC noise-cancellation handles typical background chatter and keyboard clatter during voice chat. Extremely loud environments or professional broadcast demands may exceed the microphone’s noise-rejection capability, and the fixed cable length limits placement flexibility compared with wireless alternatives.

Questions about this item

Do I need a device with a 3.5 mm jack or USB port to use this headset?

The headset includes a 3.5 mm plug, a USB connector and a Type‑C connector, so any device offering one of those interfaces will work.

Will the headset still deliver game audio if I connect it through the 3.5 mm jack on an older controller?

Yes, the 3.5 mm connection carries stereo audio and microphone signals without requiring the USB or Type‑C link.

How can I verify the 50 mm drivers are producing Hi‑Res sound after I plug the headset in?

Play a known high‑resolution track and listen for the extended detail the titanium diaphragm drivers are designed to reveal; the RGB breathing lights will also be active when power is supplied.
