Compact Oak Desktop Audio System

The Edifier M60 is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers finished in oak. Each enclosure houses a one-inch silk dome tweeter and a three-inch aluminium mid-low driver driven by a Class-D amplifier with 24-bit 96kHz DSP. Total output reaches 66W RMS and the cabinets measure 100 by 168 by 147 millimetres. Aluminium desktop stands are included to reduce surface vibration.

Ideal for Near-Field Listening at a Desk

This system suits anyone who wants studio-style sound from a small footprint on a computer desk. The integrated DSP handles crossover and dynamic range control without extra equipment. Buyers who need surround sound, a separate subwoofer output or wall-mount brackets should look elsewhere.

66W RMS Total Power Decides Suitability

The 66W RMS rating defines the maximum clean output available for music, movies or gaming at typical desktop distances. If your room or listening level demands higher sustained volume, this pair will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of each Edifier M60 speaker in millimetres?

Each speaker measures 100 mm wide, 168 mm high and 147 mm deep, so check your desk space against those figures before ordering.

How do the included aluminium stands attach, and what common step do users miss?

The stands screw into the threaded inserts on the bottom of each cabinet; the step often missed is tightening the locking ring after positioning the speaker, which prevents wobble and keeps the drivers aligned.

Which parts of the M60 are most likely to need replacement after several years of daily use?

The silk dome tweeter surrounds and the aluminium mid-low driver cones are the wear items; foam surrounds can dry out and cones can dent if knocked, so handle the cabinets carefully when moving them.
