Planar magnetic audiophile headphones

The Edifier STAX Spirit S5 uses planar magnetic drivers with second-generation EqualMass wiring for uniform diaphragm motion. It targets listeners who want low-distortion reproduction across the frequency range. Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications confirm the capability.

Snapdragon Sound buyers seeking wireless fidelity

The Qualcomm QCC5181 platform and Snapdragon Sound technology deliver LDAC, LHDC, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless over Bluetooth 5.4. Buyers who rely on wired-only sources or need active noise cancellation will not find those features here.

Eighty-hour battery with wired fallback

Around 80 hours of playback is available on a single charge, and fast charging restores useful listening time quickly. USB-C and AUX inputs provide lossless connection when wireless bandwidth or battery life runs out.

Questions about this item

Which audio source do I need that can send LDAC or LHDC so the headphone delivers its certified Hi-Res Audio Wireless quality?

A smartphone, tablet or computer that supports LDAC or LHDC over Bluetooth 5.4 is required; the headphone itself carries both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications.

Will the headphone still connect through its USB-C or AUX inputs if I keep using an older device without Bluetooth 5.4?

Yes, the USB-C and AUX connections work independently of the Bluetooth version, so older sources can be used via cable.

How can I verify the headphone is actually streaming a high-resolution codec after pairing?

Check the source device’s Bluetooth codec menu — it should show LDAC, LHDC or aptX Adaptive — and the headphone’s status indicators will confirm an active high-quality link.
