What it powers

This 6.5 ft Mini USB car charger delivers 5 V at 2 A from a 12 V vehicle socket. It is built for Garmin Nuvi, StreetPilot, Dezl and compatible TomTom, Magellan, XGODY, Mio, Carrvas and AROVA GPS navigators that use a mini-USB power port. The 90-degree plug saves dashboard space and an LED shows power status without triggering PC connection mode.

Capacity and headroom

The adapter supplies up to 2 A, enough for most listed Nuvi 200, 250, 260, 270, 300, 350, 360, 370, 500, 510, 550, 600, 650, 660, 670, 680, 700, 750, 760, 770, 780, 800, 850, 855, 860, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1450, 1490 and Dezl 560, 570, 580, 760, 770, 780 units while driving. Devices that draw more than 2 A or require a different connector will not charge reliably.

Mini USB interface limits

The Mini USB connector fits only devices with that specific port; it cannot charge units that use USB-C, micro-USB or proprietary sockets. The cable does not carry traffic or data-link signals, so live-traffic receivers and map-update functions that depend on a data connection will not work through this charger.
