Commercial Electric Tankless Water Heater

The Eemax EX1608TC is a commercial-grade electric tankless water heater designed for indoor single or multi-fixture applications. It operates on a 208 V AC single-phase supply and delivers hot water on demand without a storage tank. This unit suits commercial and industrial environments where continuous hot water is required.

Single Phase 208V Electrical Requirements

The heater draws 80 A at 208 V AC single phase with a power consumption of 16,600 W. Installation requires a dedicated circuit and wiring rated for this current. The unit activates at a minimum flow of .75 gpm and provides a maximum flow rate of 3 gpm. Electrical infrastructure must support the full load for reliable operation.

Adjustable Thermostat 100 To 140 Degrees F

The adjustable thermostat allows outlet temperature selection between 100 and 140 degrees F with a maximum delivered temperature of 100 degrees F. This temperature range determines suitability for specific commercial uses such as hand washing or sanitising. Verify that the required outlet temperature falls within this window before specifying the unit.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 208 V single-phase model or a different voltage for my commercial kitchen?

This unit runs on 208 V AC single-phase and draws 80 A; verify your panel can supply that voltage and amperage before choosing it over other Eemax models.

What does the 16 600 W rating mean for simultaneous sink and dishwasher use?

At 16 600 W the heater can raise water to 100 °F at up to 3 gpm, so one high-flow fixture or two lower-flow fixtures can run together if incoming water is not too cold.

The spec lists 3/4 in cold inlet — does that limit the flow I can actually get?

The 3/4 in inlet matches the 3 gpm maximum flow rate; flow above 3 gpm is capped by the heater’s power, not the pipe size.
