Eemax SPEX55 Undersink Heater

The Eemax SPEX55 is a single-phase electric tankless water heater designed for undersink installation. It operates at 240V AC and delivers a maximum flow rate of 2 gpm with a minimum activation of .5 gpm. The unit suits commercial indoor applications such as kitchen sinks, lavatory faucets, metering faucets and sensor faucets.

Replaces Storage Tank Units

This heater replaces traditional storage tanks where space is limited and on-demand hot water is preferred. The jump is worth it when you need continuous delivery between 70 and 140 Degrees F without standby losses. It draws 23 A at 5,500 W, so the electrical supply must support that load.

Compression Inlet Installation

Installation uses a 3/8 in compression cold inlet fitting suited to standard undersink plumbing. The compact frame measures 10.75 in high, 5.25 in wide and 3 in deep. What usually goes wrong is insufficient circuit capacity or incorrect wire gauge for the 23 A draw, which prevents the unit from reaching its rated temperature.
