ELECOM NESTOUT MPA-NEST-S014OV 28W 4-Panel Solar

Portable Solar Charger

The ELECOM NESTOUT MPA-NEST-S014OV is a 28W foldable solar panel built for campers and hikers who need reliable off-grid power. Its four-panel design unfolds to capture sunlight and feeds two USB-A ports for phones, tablets or Bluetooth earbuds. A current-checker LED shows real-time generation so you can see exactly what the panels are delivering. The unit weighs 0.898 kilograms and packs into a ripstop nylon bag with mesh pouches and exterior loops for hanging.

USB-A Output Limits

Power leaves the panel only through the two USB-A ports, so any device that requires USB-C Power Delivery, Quick Charge or a barrel jack cannot be charged directly. The 28W rating is a peak figure under full sun; cloud cover, low angles or partial shading will reduce the actual current available to connected devices. There is no integrated battery, so charging stops the moment sunlight is interrupted unless you add a separate power bank.

28W Capacity and Headroom

In direct sunlight the four SunPower MAXEON cells can supply enough power for a smartphone and a tablet simultaneously, but a laptop or high-draw accessory will exceed the panel’s capability. The adjustable stands let you optimise the angle throughout the day to maintain output closer to the 28W peak. When folded, the panel measures 670.0 by 285.0 by 12.0 inches, making it small enough to strap to a pack yet large enough to harvest useful energy for typical camp electronics.
