DeWalt 20V Compatibility

These electric pruning shears are built to run on DeWalt 20V batteries such as the DCB200, DCB201 and DCB203, letting owners of that platform add a cordless tree trimmer without buying a new battery ecosystem. The tool ships without a battery, so it suits users who already have charged packs on hand.

Battery And Cut Capacity Check

Before ordering, confirm you have a compatible DeWalt 20V pack and that the branches you plan to cut fall within the 1.5 to 2 inch maximum diameter. The shears offer four blade openings from 22 mm to 61 mm, so verify the setting matches the wood thickness you encounter most often.

Sustained Cutting Behaviour

A 26000 RPM brushless motor rated at 180 watts delivers consistent torque for repeated cuts, with the manufacturer citing 500 percent longer motor life and 60 percent less energy draw versus traditional motors. The LCD display reports remaining battery charge during extended sessions, while the safety lock prevents accidental activation when the tool is set down between cuts.
