Ready for mobile performers

The Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 is a weatherized portable speaker built for musicians, mobile DJs and rental houses that need pro-audio output without mains power. An 8-inch woofer and 1-inch titanium tweeter deliver 100 x 100° dispersion and a frequency response of 65 Hz to 18 kHz. The IP43-rated enclosure handles outdoor conditions while Bluetooth streaming and control keep the system cable-free. A 400W Class D amplifier drives up to 121 dB SPL for audiences of any size.

Replaces cabled PA boxes

This unit removes the need for separate mixer, amplifier and speaker cables at pop-up events, fitness classes or street performances. The integrated 4-channel mixer with 48V phantom power, studio effects and feedback suppression means one box covers vocals, instruments and playback. Battery life of up to 12 hours covers a full gig day, so the jump is worth it whenever venue power is unreliable or setup time is short. Buyers who need more than two microphone channels or a second powered cabinet for stereo should look elsewhere.

Steady output for a full set

Under sustained load the high-efficiency amplifier maintains consistent SPL without thermal compression for the rated battery duration. The SST port design keeps low-frequency response tight at 65 Hz even after hours of continuous playback. DSP tools such as ducking and feedback suppression remain active without audible artefacts, so the mix stays clean from sound-check to encore.

Questions about this item

What mounting options does the 16.8 lb cabinet provide?

The enclosure includes an integrated pole-mount socket on the bottom so it fits most tripod speaker stands without an adapter.

How do I connect a microphone to the combo XLR-1/4" inputs and enable 48V phantom power?

Plug the mic into either combo jack, then open the QuickSmart Mobile app and toggle 48 V phantom on for that channel; the setting is saved per preset.

When will the internal battery need replacement after repeated 12-hour cycles?

Lithium-ion cells typically retain usable capacity for several years of regular charging; the battery is not user-replaceable, so plan for service when run-time drops noticeably.
