USB-powered stereo speakers for desk use

The Elimavi MM-PL Blue is a 2.0 multimedia speaker system that draws power from a USB port and receives audio through a 3.5 mm auxiliary cable. A USB-C adapter is included for newer ports. The pair weighs .671 kilograms and measures 3.93 in by 8.07 in by 4.5 in, suited for desktop, laptop or monitor placement.

Analogue audio limited by cable and port

The 3.5 mm analogue connection means audio quality depends on the source device's output stage and the 51.18-inch cable run. Total output is 5 watts with each satellite rated at 5 watts RMS into 4 ohm. Frequency response reaches 20 KHz and signal-to-noise ratio is 85 decibels, so dynamic range is constrained by the analogue path.

Plastic cabinet with metal mesh grille

The owl-eye styled enclosure uses high-quality plastic and a metal mesh driver cover. Blue LED lighting adds visual accent. In-line touch control adjusts volume without software. The fixed 51.18-inch cable length sets placement limits, and the USB power requirement ties the speakers to a powered port or adapter.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the 2.0 stereo pair and a single speaker option?

The MM-PL Blue is only sold as a 2.0 stereo pair; there is no single-speaker version listed, so you simply buy the pair for left and right channels.

What does the 5-watt rating mean for everyday desktop use?

Each satellite is rated at 5 watts RMS, providing clear stereo sound for music, video calls and casual gaming at typical desk distances.

How does the USB-powered, 3.5 mm aux connection limit volume or fidelity?

The speakers draw 5 V DC from USB and receive analogue audio via the 3.5 mm jack, so maximum output is capped by the USB port's current and the source device's line-level signal.
