15-inch open-frame touchscreen with 10-point PCAP, 1024 x 768 resolution and HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort inputs
The Elo 1590L is a 15-inch open-frame LCD touchscreen built for point-of-sale and self-service kiosks. Its TouchPro projected capacitive layer registers ten simultaneous touch points through USB 2.0. The sealed surface resists dirt, dust and liquids, simplifying enclosure design for retail, hospitality or industrial installations.
Video connects through HDMI, VGA or DisplayPort so the monitor fits legacy and modern POS controllers alike. Power is supplied by an optional external 12 V DC brick, keeping the open-frame chassis slim and reducing internal heat. The LED backlight draws 12.5 watts while on and 1.5 watts in sleep, lowering operating cost in always-on deployments.
The 4:3 aspect ratio matches many legacy POS applications without letterboxing. Brightness of 270 cd/m2 and 16.2 million colours suit indoor counter-top use; outdoor or high-ambient-light sites will need a brighter panel. Horizontal viewing spans 160 degrees total and vertical 150 degrees, while the 23 ms response time is adequate for transactional workloads but not for fast-motion content.
