eMedia Bass Method Windows Download

This downloadable Windows software teaches bass guitar through 140 structured lessons and over 30 large-format videos. Noted bassist John Arbo guides beginners through tuning, reading tablature, scales, and popular songs. The program requires Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 8 and installs via download.

Instant Feedback and Note Finger Tracker

Interactive technology listens through a connected microphone and highlights correctly played notes in green on screen. The Note Tracker and Finger Tracker show exactly which notes and fingers to use during exercises. Animated fretboard visuals reinforce finger placement while you play along with songs like "Rock'n Me" and "Uncle John's Band".

Ideal for self-taught beginners on Windows

Suits players who want guided practice with real-time note recognition on supported legacy Windows versions. Not for Mac or Linux users, or those needing mobile or tablet compatibility. Buyers without a microphone cannot use the interactive feedback features. Advanced players seeking music theory depth or notation export should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the download licence ever need renewal or an extra purchase?

The licence is perpetual; once downloaded the software runs without subscription fees or mandatory upgrades.

What stops the interactive feedback from working during long practice sessions?

The feature requires a live microphone signal and Windows XP through 8, so an unsupported OS upgrade or a disconnected mic ends the feedback.

Does the program heat up the computer or make the fan loud when it runs all day?

It is a lightweight teaching application with 140 lessons and 30 videos; CPU load stays low enough that most laptops stay quiet.
