Replacement thermocouple for standing-pilot systems, 24 in cable, 18 to 30 mV output, stainless-steel element with universal adapter fitting
This WHITE-RODGERS thermocouple replaces a worn sensor in a standing-pilot gas appliance. It supplies an 18 to 30 mV signal to keep the gas valve open when the pilot flame is present. The 24 in stainless-steel element resists corrosion in LP or natural-gas service. Installers use it when the original probe no longer generates reliable voltage.
The threaded 11/32 in process connection accepts the included universal adapter, letting the probe fit a wider range of pilot brackets without re-threading. This flexibility is worth the swap when the old coupling size is non-standard or damaged. The adapter threads on in seconds, reducing downtime during a service call. No special tools are required for the changeover.
The probe mounts directly into the pilot assembly and routes its 24 in cable to the gas valve terminals. Stainless-steel construction withstands continuous flame exposure without degrading. The assembly frees the technician from fabricating a custom-length lead. Buyers who need a longer reach or a different voltage range will need a different model.

The thermocouple uses an 11/32 in threaded process connection and includes a universal adapter fitting for installation.
Thread the 11/32 in connection into the pilot assembly, attach the universal adapter, then tighten by hand plus one quarter turn with a wrench to avoid crushing the stainless steel element.
Replace it when the pilot flame no longer holds or the millivolt output drops below 18 mV, indicating the element has degraded.
