42 inch 2.1 channel soundbar

The Emerson EHS-2004 is a 42 inch 2.1 channel soundbar delivering 50W total output from two 12.5W drivers and a 25W subwoofer. It suits viewers who want louder, clearer TV sound without a multi-speaker surround system. Buyers needing discrete rear channels or object-based audio formats will not find that capability here.

Sustained output with built-in subwoofer

The integrated 25W subwoofer handles low frequencies continuously, so bass remains present during long films or music sessions without the drop-off typical of small single-bar units. Two 12.5W mid-range drivers carry dialogue and effects at consistent levels. The AC 110-240V supply feeding a DC 12V adapter provides stable power for extended use.

HDMI ARC and analogue connectivity limits

HDMI ARC carries audio from a compatible TV over a single cable and allows volume control via the TV remote. Optical digital, 3.5mm auxiliary and RCA line-in provide fallbacks for older sources. Bluetooth with NFC pairing and a USB player add wireless and local file playback, but the soundbar does not support multi-room streaming or high-bitrate lossless codecs.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 50W system draw when running all day?

The sound bar uses a 12V DC supply fed from an AC 110V-240V adapter, with a total rated output of 50W (12.5W x 2 + 25W).

Which cables or devices must I already have to connect this sound bar to my TV?

An HDMI ARC cable or an optical digital audio cable is needed for TV connection; both Aux-in and RCA cables are included in the box.

Will the HDMI ARC port work with my older TV that only has standard HDMI?

HDMI ARC requires the TV to support Audio Return Channel; if the TV lacks ARC, use the optical or analogue inputs instead.
