Portable CD Player with Radio

The Emerson EPB-3000 is a portable CD player that also receives AM and FM broadcasts. It plays standard audio CDs plus CD-R and CD-RW discs. Dual stereo speakers deliver 2.4 W total output. A 3.5 mm AUX input lets you connect external audio sources.

Power and Compatibility Check

Confirm you have access to a 120 V AC outlet for the included power cable. For battery operation you will need six C-size cells which are not supplied. The top-loading mechanism accepts CD, CD-R and CD-RW media only; other disc formats are not supported.

Ideal for Simple Listening, Not for Digital Files

This unit suits listeners who want a self-contained CD and radio device with programmable track memory. Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming, MP3 playback from USB or headphone-driven private listening should look at a different product.

Questions about this item

Does the Emerson EPB-3000 come with batteries or must I buy six C cells separately?

The package includes the player, an AC power cable and the user manual. Six C batteries are required for portable use and are not included.

Should I choose the EPB-3000 over a basic CD-only model if I want radio and an aux input?

Yes, this unit adds AM/FM analogue tuning with a telescopic antenna and a 3.5 mm AUX input for external devices, which a CD-only player lacks.

Will the 2.4 W total output from the dual 1.2 W speakers fill a small room?

The two full-range drivers deliver 2.4 W RMS combined, which is suited to personal listening or a small indoor space rather than a large room.
