Portable 720p LCD projector with bundled screen

The Emerson EVP-2001C is a compact LCD projector that produces a native 1280 x 720 image and ships with a 100 inch portable screen and carrying case. It is aimed at casual viewers who want an all-in-one kit for movies, sports or gaming in a living room or backyard without installing a fixed screen. Bluetooth audio output lets users pair external speakers for louder sound than the built-in 2 watt drivers provide.

Low power draw and quiet operation

The unit draws only 50 watts from its AC adaptor, so it runs cool and does not require a high-current circuit or noisy cooling fans during typical viewing sessions. Its LED light source is rated for long life and maintains consistent brightness without the lamp-replacement cycle of traditional projectors. The small 1.92 pound chassis stays unobtrusive on a table or shelf while the remote handles all menu navigation.

Included screen and case simplify setup

The 100 inch portable screen unfolds in seconds and packs back into the supplied carrying case alongside the projector, power adaptor and remote. Two HDMI ports accept streaming sticks, consoles or cable boxes, while a USB 2.0 port and memory-card slot play JPG, PNG and BMP files directly. A 3.5 mm headphone jack enables private listening without disturbing others in the room.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the projector and 100" screen at the right distance for a clear 720p picture?

Place the projector 31.9" to 150" from the screen surface, connect power via the DC IN jack, choose an HDMI source, and focus using the lens ring; the most common mistake is positioning it closer than 31.9" which makes the image too small and blurry.

What part will need replacement first and how do I know when?

The LED light source is rated for long life and is not user-replaceable; if brightness drops noticeably or the unit fails to power on after the 50W supply is confirmed working, the projector itself requires service.

At what point does heat or fan noise become the limiting factor during a long movie session?

The 50W power draw and compact 8.25 x 6.25 x 3.20 in chassis mean the internal fan will spin up after extended use; if the projector overheats it will dim or shut down to protect the LED engine.
