Built-in DVD and 150" image

The Emerson EVP-2501C combines an LCD projector with a built-in DVD player that handles DVD, VCD and CD formats. It projects a viewable image from 31.9" up to 150" with a native resolution of 1280 x 720 and a 500:1 contrast ratio. Two 2W speakers provide basic audio, while Bluetooth allows connection to external speakers. A 100" portable screen and carrying case are included in the package.

Buyers wanting simple all-in-one playback

This unit suits viewers who want a single device that plays physical discs and projects a large picture without separate components. It also works well for streaming via HDMI-connected sticks or USB media. Buyers who need higher native resolution, brighter output for well-lit rooms, or advanced keystone and lens-shift adjustments should look at other models.

Native 1280 x 720 resolution

The fixed 1280 x 720 pixel grid determines the sharpness of every source, from discs to streaming sticks. Content at 1080p or 4K will be downscaled to this grid, so detail will not match higher-resolution projectors. If 720p native clarity meets your expectations, the EVP-2501C delivers a large-screen experience with integrated DVD playback.

Questions about this item

Will the 1280 x 720 native resolution and HDMI inputs work with my older DVD player and game consoles?

Yes, the two HDMI ports accept signals from legacy consoles and players, and the native 1280 x 720 panel scales incoming video to fit the 31.9 to 150 inch screen range.

How can I confirm the 3600 lumen LED light source and built-in DVD mechanism are functioning correctly after setup?

Power on the unit, insert a disc to verify playback on the 100 inch portable screen, check that the remote navigates menus, and listen for audio from the two 2W speakers or the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Does the box include the 100 inch portable screen and carrying case, or must I buy them separately?

The combo package ships with the 100 inch portable screen, carrying case, full-function remote, UL power adapter and user manual; streaming sticks such as Fire Stick or Roku are not included.
