Vertiv Liebert PD5-003 POD

The Vertiv Liebert PD5-003 is a power output distribution unit with a built-in maintenance bypass. It is designed for GXT5 5-10kVA UPS models to allow maintenance or replacement without interrupting power to connected loads. The unit automatically transfers current to the original source during UPS failures. It replaces the existing POD box on the back of the UPS.

NEMA L14-30P input and output limits

The POD connects via a single NEMA L14-30P input connector rated for 30 amps. It provides two NEMA L6-30R and four NEMA 5-15/20R output receptacles for distributing power to equipment. Total connected load must not exceed the 30-amp input rating or the individual receptacle ratings. The unit supports GXT5 UPS models ranging from 5 to 10 kVA capacity.

Plug-and-play installation and bypass operation

Installation is plug-and-play, replacing the existing POD box on the UPS rear panel. The maintenance bypass switch enables manual transfer of the load to utility power for safe UPS servicing. Automatic transfer switches the load to bypass during UPS failure events. Incorrect bypass sequencing or overloading the 30-amp input can trip breakers and drop the load.
