Compact Oval Alarm Clock

The Emerson TT1001 is a small digital alarm clock with a 0.7-inch green LED display designed for bedside use. It measures 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.4 inches and weighs 6.6 ounces. AC power runs the clock while an optional 9V battery retains time and alarm settings for up to eight hours during outages. A built-in nightlight adds low-level illumination for dark rooms.

Upgrade From Basic Clocks

This model replaces simpler clocks that lack a backup power source or a nightlight. The jump is worth it when you need the time kept automatically during short power cuts without resetting alarms. The repeating snooze function also improves on single-press snooze buttons found on older units. Corded electric operation removes the need for frequent battery changes.

Suits Light Sleepers & Travellers

Buyers who want a compact, mains-powered clock with battery memory and a gentle nightlight will find this suitable. The oval tabletop design fits narrow nightstands and hotel shelves. Shoppers who need a large display, projection features, wireless charging, or smart-home connectivity should look elsewhere. Batteries are not included in the package.

Questions about this item

How much tabletop space does the 4.5 x 3.5 inch footprint require?

The clock measures 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide by 2.4 inches high, so allow at least that rectangle on a flat surface.

What is the correct way to install the 9 V backup battery so the clock keeps time during a power cut?

Plug the unit into mains power first, then insert one 9 V battery into the compartment; the battery only maintains memory for eight hours and does not run the display.

When should the 9 V backup battery be replaced to keep the alarm reliable?

Replace the 9 V battery at least once a year or after any extended power outage, since the backup only holds time and alarm settings for eight hours.
