The eufy Security Motion Sensor monitors indoor spaces with a 100° field of view and a 30ft detection range. It is designed for homeowners who want reliable intrusion alerts without wiring. The sensor pairs with a HomeBase hub and the eufy Security app to deliver push notifications when movement is detected. Adjustable sensitivity helps ignore pets while catching human-sized motion.

HomeBase Dependency and Indoor-Only Use

This sensor cannot operate independently; it requires a separate eufy Security HomeBase to relay alerts to the app. The device is not waterproof, so outdoor or damp-location mounting is not supported. Cloud storage of thumbnail previews is necessary for push notifications with image previews. No local-only alert path exists without the HomeBase connection.

Two-Year Battery Headroom

The included battery powers the sensor for up to 2 years under typical indoor conditions. That span comfortably covers seasonal absences and low-traffic rooms without frequent maintenance. Battery life will shorten if the sensor is placed in very high-traffic areas or if sensitivity is set to maximum. There is no wired power option to extend runtime further.
