This set provides ten pairs of 24K gold-plated banana plugs with aluminium shells for speaker wire termination. They are designed for audio enthusiasts connecting speakers to amplifiers or receivers. The gold plating resists corrosion to maintain signal integrity over time. Each plug uses a set-screw mechanism that accepts axial wire insertion only.

Set-Screw Axial Installation Limit

The plugs use a set-screw design that only allows axial wire installation, so the wire must be fed straight into the barrel. Dual opposing set screws secure the conductor for mechanical conductivity. This method suits solid or stranded wire but requires access to the wire end. The 360-degree grip treads assist with plugging and unplugging once installed.

Upgrade from Bare Wire or Crimp Terminals

These plugs replace bare wire connections or simple crimp terminals that can loosen or oxidise. The upgrade is worth it when a secure, polarity-coded connection is needed for 12 to 18 AWG speaker wire. Black and red silk-screen coding maintains correct left and right channel polarity. They are not suited for wire gauges outside the 12 to 18 AWG range.
