Shielded RJ45 coupler joins two Ethernet cables for 10-Gigabit networks and fits Cat8 through Cat5e
Model 1 pack
The EN-Labs 11-001-263 is a shielded 8P8C inline coupler that joins two RJ45-terminated Ethernet cables. Its black housing contains internal shielding and a snap-in retaining clip for a secure, corrosion-free connection. The adapter complies with the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard and measures 40mm by 20mm by 20mm.
Installers who need a longer reach without pulling new cable can link two shorter patch cords and maintain 10-Gigabit Ethernet performance. The coupler accepts Cat8, Cat7, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 cables. It is not suited for runs that exceed the channel length allowed by the cabling standard or for connections requiring a different connector type.
The shielded housing preserves signal quality up to 10-Gigabit Ethernet across all supported cable categories. This shielding is the decisive specification when the installation runs near sources of electromagnetic interference. Without it, high-speed data rates may become unstable.

Other versions of this model
You need two standard RJ45 patch cables — Cat8, Cat7, Cat6, Cat5e or Cat5 — each terminated with an 8P8C plug.
The coupler is rated for 10-Gigabit Ethernet, but Cat5e cabling is limited to 1 Gigabit; you would need Cat6 or higher cable for the full rate.
Run a speed test or check the link speed reported by your router or network adapter; it should show 1 Gbps on Cat5e and up to 10 Gbps on Cat6, Cat7 or Cat8.
