Tool-free enclosure connects 2.5 or 3.5 SATA drives via USB 3.0 up to 5Gbps with UASP and one-touch backup
The EN-Labs ENU335HDD accepts a single 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA I/II/III hard drive or SSD. It connects to the host through a USB 3.0 port and requires no driver installation. The tool-free design allows hot-swapping, and an on-board power supply removes the need for an external adapter. A One-Touch Backup button triggers the supplied software for quick backups.
Data moves at up to 5 Gbps over USB 3.0, with backwards compatibility to USB 2.0 and 1.1. The SATA link inside the enclosure supports SATA I, II and III drives, but the external USB 3.0 connection caps real-world throughput. UASP support reduces protocol overhead, yet sustained transfer rates will still be bounded by the 5 Gbps ceiling of the USB 3.0 bus.
Each bay handles drives up to 8 TB, giving ample room for large media libraries or system images. The enclosure has only one bay, so total raw capacity stops at a single 8 TB drive; users needing more storage must add a second enclosure. Drives larger than 8 TB are not supported, and there is no RAID or spanning capability to combine multiple disks.

The enclosure accepts both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA drives in the single bay, so you simply insert whichever size you have.
The 5Gbps figure is the interface ceiling; real-world throughput depends on the drive itself and whether UASP is active on your system.
USB 3.0 caps at 5Gbps while SATA III can reach 6Gbps, so the enclosure becomes the bottleneck for faster drives.
